How to Watch 'Dancing With the Stars' 2022

A new chapter has officially begun for Dancing With the Stars. After 30 seasons of celebrities waltzing their way around the ballroom in hopes of winning the Mirrorball Trophy, the latest installment is full of historic changes.

Among the major differences the popular competition show underwent for season 31 is actor Alfonso Ribeiro joining Tyra Banks as co-host. The duo now leads new episodes together with Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli back as the judging panel. What's more, new celebrities are competing for the coveted Dancing With the Stars title, including actress Selma Blair and her partner Sasha Farber, Bachelorette star Gabby Windey with Val Chmerkovskiy, plus former Hallmark star Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater. But the biggest switch-up is the show's network.

Since this is a major move for the hit competition series, it also comes with a few other changes. First, the show will only have one airtime on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET or 5 p.m. PT. This new timeframe will allow viewers on booth the East and West coasts the opportunity to watch and vote at the same time.

What's more, there will also be no commercials, as it will be premiering on a streaming site. This won't last for too long though, because Disney+ will be launching a plan that will allow commercials on December 8, known as Disney Basic.

As far as when new episodes will air, they will be available to watch as soon as it airs on Monday nights. It's important to note that just like its ABC schedule, DWTS will continue releasing one new episode per week. So, if you want to watch season 31 in its entirety, you'll need to wait until a new champion is crowned later this year.

That said, there are multiple ways you can watch Dancing With the Stars on Disney+. If you don't have a registered account yet, you can opt into different plans which start at $7. 99 a month or $79.99 a year. But keep in mind that when Disney Basic goes into effect, the monthly cost will go up to $10.99 a month. There is also the opportunity to include Hulu and ESPN+ to their services (a.k.a. the Disney Bundle), which would round up the cost to $13.99 a month.

Once you've made an account, you can go to the show's official page on the Disney+ website or stream it on the Disney+ app.

participants are preparing for the first entrance to the floor

January 14, 2022 12:24 Oleg Pakshin

The artists, waiting for the first release of the new season of the show "Dancing with the Stars", do not waste time in vain. Now it's hard to believe, but a couple of weeks ago, many of them were just taking their first steps in their lives on the floor. Now they devote all their free time to rehearsals and training.

This Sunday on the channel "Russia 1" starts a new season of the popular show "Dancing with the Stars"! Winners will be chosen by popular vote. In addition, the audience is waiting for a completely new jury. Oleg Pakshin visited the dress rehearsal.

The stars dance so easily that it's hard to believe - only two weeks ago they still couldn't do much! There are no holidays or weekends for them. Preparing for the new season of the show takes all the free time of the artists, and "Day X" - the first exit to the big floor - is already on January 16, despite the injuries.

"I apparently gave such an active load to the body, which had been detrained for some time, that the organizers were madly scared. But, thank God, I'm ready to fight again!" Maria Mironova says

Injured her back, but did not break in spirit. The actress and young mother is now rehearsing with extreme caution. In the meantime, some couples are learning the first premiere dance, others have already tried all five of the Latin American program. Dmitry Kharatyan danced a lot both at the theater institute and in the cinema. But never in front of an authoritative jury and millions of viewers live.

"Here, I used to play table tennis, but now I'm big - if you look for analogies with sports," the artist explains.

Vanya Dmitrienko's singing is better than dancing. Physical activity at rehearsals is difficult even for his young body, and Vanya is only 16, and he is the youngest participant in the history of Dancing with the Stars.

"Yes, my feet are in shock. So far. And it's hard for me to get used to these shoes, in which you have to dance. But, in principle, everything is fine," the musician assures.

Perhaps the only one who is 100% sure of his dancing abilities is Vladimir Marconi.
