When I think about live performances, I can't help but think of the festival season with a little sadness. Levi's® has always had a big presence at music festivals around the world. Frank Ocean? There may not be a single festival this year, but we are launching a campaign around it anyway, as we all need to dream.

When I look at the images of the campaign, I immediately think of the history of Levi's®, which is based on youthful optimism and progress. Pictures of Woodstock, a festival declared to be three days of peace and music, immediately come to my mind. The 1969 festival became the embodiment of an active social position, optimism and creativity. As Bob Haas (Emeritus Chairman of LS&Co. and great-great-great-great-nephew of founder Levi Strauss) said, “Levi’s® is the epitome of energy and a reflection of the major events of our time. ”

When the Berlin Wall was torn down, German youth came out wearing Levi's® as a symbol of freedom and democratic values.

But with optimism and a sense of community, they can overcome anything. I see it in my children. My son is 19 years old. He is a student and an artist. He is not afraid to be exactly who he is. Loudly declare yourself as an artist. Express yourself through art, through your unique style. And he enjoys being part of a large creative community. Modern young people find strength in the team. We could all take a lesson from this.

I am motivated by the example of our friends and partners, Hailey and Jayden. Hayley's optimism and authenticity; Jayden's conscientious relationship with nature, his passion for educating - how to choose wisely - is inspiring. They challenge us (we, both as a brand and as individuals) to become the best version of ourselves. They remind me of what it means to be filled with hope. We must remember this here and now. In the current unprecedented situation, more than ever, it is important to maintain the spirit of collective optimism. The current crisis has affected some more than others. Those who endure the current situation more easily should help the others. I feel this responsibility on myself.

Will Smith ironically parodied the clip of Jaden Smith

Actor Will Smith posted a video on Instagram in which he parodies Jaden Smith's Icon clip and copies the opening of the original video frame by frame. Thus, Will decided to congratulate his son on the fact that his work has gained 100 million plays on the Spotify music service.

Icon's music video for the single from Jayden's debut album SYRE was released in November 2017. Will Smith's answer starts exactly the same: car with open doors, Smith in the back seat with a phone, and the title of the clip in full screen.

Then Will, like Jayden, gets out of the car and starts dancing. Only the movements of Smith Sr. are a little more sweeping, and the facial expressions are slightly hypertrophied. It is worth noting that Will (also in a denim jacket and with chains around his neck) did not just take the soundtrack from the clip, but read out the text himself - in the same way, without falling into the movements of the lips.

But then something goes wrong. Will tries to imitate Jayden's foot movement, but slips out of his flip-flops - Smith Jr. is wearing sneakers.

And almost immediately after that, the grills fall out of my dad's mouth, and he comically tries to put them back in their place.
