There are many different types of dance, ranging from classical ballet to hip hop dancing. All these different styles require the same steps to become a dance instructor.
The number of career options for dancers is very limited, and vary by dance type. Opportunities for classical ballet dancers are restricted to national or state dance companies. Modern dancers can work for performers or as part of a musical theater production. Competition is fierce, and a significant amount of travel is often required.
Dance instructors are typically former dancers.
It takes at least ten years of full time dance training to become a professional dancer. After about eight to ten years, most professional dancers are no longer performing, and look to teaching as a career. There is a great deal of flexibility in professional dance teaching, but it often requires evening and weekend work.
All dance programs offer instructor training. There are several colleges and universities that offer degrees in dance. These programs combine practical dance with instructor training. There are also a wide range of certificate or diploma programs that offer dance instructor training.
To become a dance instructor, you need to obtain a job as an instructor. Many people start their instructor career at a small, private school or local community center. Positions at national dance school or training centers have a complex, multi-stage application process. They typically require an audition, interview and references. Most of all I am afraid of becoming office plankton, sitting and working. And when to dance?! I recently turned 16, it's time to think about my future. In addition to dancing, I study English and am interested in information technology. I think that I will go to study as an IT specialist for general development. Seriously, I would like to dance all my life and become a hip-hop coach.
Dad comes home and says: "Listen, son, my friend teaches dancing, would you like to try?" I answer: "OK!" and I get to training with Zhenya Filipova. I have been dancing for four years now.
Father before me got on the "Hip-hop project". He started dancing at about 18 for his mother, because she already knew how.
She was engaged in Russian folk and rock and roll from the age of 7. And when dad joined, they began to train and perform together. In general, lyuboffff! Then dad became interested in hip-hop and developed it for a long time. He danced for pleasure and did not want to achieve heights. I had to quit dancing only 2 years ago because of back problems. But he brought me to hip-hop, and I started my dance path shoulder to shoulder with my father. It means a lot! Now dad is surprised and proud of my success.
Zhenya's ponytail. My training started with her at Unidance, when she left for Atmosphere, I followed her. Then in "9 Lives" - I'm right there! But the training stopped for the summer, and Zhenya advised me to go to the new project of Yegor Prusov. "Hip-hop Project" was created for those who are hungry for development. Initially, there were sixteen of us, only five made it to the end. But Project is alive!
Half a year did not reduce to bits.
A year ago I became interested in DJing, asked Egor about programs, tried to "glue" tracks together. And now, when my tracks were already played in training, the realization came. I. I'm driving. Not on the beat! Then, of course, everything got better. In winter, I attended MK DJing at "Hip-hop Intensive" and increased my skill.
And at the first party I forgot how to mix. Fortunately, Egor helped. It was the 5th round of the Tomsk hip-hop tournament. And my loss in the first round. But I was not upset, because there was no time for battles. I was completely distracted by the music, and, despite the wild excitement, I was glad to play the first party. He boasted to everyone and departed for four days. In the summer I want to earn some money and buy a remote control. And "Totsamysanya" was the name of the first mix.
They wake you up with cold water and rock music to the fullest. "Skillz Dance Camp" is a very cool theme! All coaches and counselors make us run in the morning and do it with us.
Then we eat, we train, then we sleep, we eat again. Be sure to rest after sleep and "eat". All this, coupled with fun games, cool counselors and master classes, where you get a lot of inspiration and boost. But most of all I adored there... to eat. Lord, especially barley! I have been to the camp twice, I will definitely go again.
Icee? Nothing special. I train for 3-3.5 hours twice a week. The rest of the days I turn on the video, get inspired and just dance for the buzz. Once Egor gave a task for the Project - to watch dance battles. I turned it on with Icee and thought, "Well, nothing special." After some time, I rewatched it and something in my head pereklinil. Now I can endlessly watch the same battle with him, each time finding a new theme or movement in it. I also really like the parterre Alex The Cage. So if you're out of inspiration, you know who to watch!
Inspiration is an important thing. And it doesn't always look in.
Besides Icee and Alex The Cage, I find him in Snoop dog tracks and public transport. When I'm on the bus, I listen to the engine and various knocks. I count the time between beats and create a track in my head. What can I say?

7 CRITERIA FOR A GOOD HIP-HOP SCHOOL
