Wonderful selection of songs! Great sensitivity to movement that allowed awesome scores! A little easy for someone of better practice, but good for younger kids, sure! Song choices were clean and easy to dance to. Graphics were amazing compared to editions 3 and 4. Navigation was a little difficult, since I was used to edition 3 and 4's control schemes, but ran through the tutorial easily enough to fix that! Overall: best edition so far!

As long as you have a Move controller in your hand, then Just Dance 2014 deserves your A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E. The impressive setlist and varied dance styles make this an incredibly fun title for both newcomers and experts alike. More consistency between modes would have been welcome, and improved standalone PlayStation Camera tracking could have certainly elevated the release even further. If you own Sony's illuminating wand, though, this is easily the best party game on the PS4.

Having not ever played that other Just Dance titles, I can't compare this one to those, but I can say that Just Dance 2014 is a fun game.
Having this in time for the holidays has made entertaining family and friends extremely easy to do, and anything to keep Uncle Herb from telling his horrible jokes for the hundredth time is a win, right? Most people who play aren't even focused so much on scoring as they are on dancing and having a good time, so on the off chance that the camera screws up, no one ever seemed to care.

Ubisoft takes a lot of really big swings with Just Dance 2014 — some, like Autodance and Just Dance TV, hit it out of the park, whereas others, like competing online and a rejiggered Just Sweat mode, are something of a whiff as they can feel lonely and undercooked. Still, if you want to boogie down in your living room, Just Dance 2014 has more than enough moves to keep that slide of yours electric.

At its core, Just Dance is a simple dance game slathered in perhaps unnecessary distraction. Ubisoft have included coins and leaderboards but in reality it's not a game that will require that sort of dedication. It will likely sit on the shelf and be brought out in small bursts, for parties or social gatherings. Ubisoft could alleviate this convolution by simply releasing new tracks as downloadable updates but the game thrives on its constant retail shelf-presence, particularly to a casual gaming audience who might not be as savvy to recognise a new downloadable add-on. Just Dance 2014 on the Xbox One is exactly the game you might expect it to be. There is more content than most people will likely use and as a core experience it doesn't offer much to sell non-fans on the wonder of Kinect, but if you fancy some fresh beats to dance to on your shiny new console, it works well without drastically altering a winning formula for Ubisoft.

Much like its already established predecesors, JD2014 doesn't really mix it up all that much in terms of gameplay, so if that's what you were hoping for, you might as well look elsewhere. However, if it's a party you're after, you definitely came to the right place.

It's good when nerd friends come over - you can get a role-playing table from the closet and have a great evening.
It's nice when guys who are familiar with the gamepad come to visit - you can dive into Diablo 3 or some fighting game with four of us. But when a crowd of people of different sexes burst into the house, who have not seen a video game in their eyes, and once again I don’t want to torture charades or “tarantinki” - this is a disaster. Only one thing will save here - Just Dance. A one-of-a-kind game that anyone will enjoy. Who is not afraid to dance, of course.
Timeless gameplay
Just Dance is finally on stream, which is clearly hinted at by the year in the title. And this, frankly, is good - few modern songs can become classics. Even Gangnam Style, which quickly flew into all the charts (it is believed that the song skipped a couple of times even on the Chanson radio, but everyone is silent about this), was blown away, less than a year has passed. Now we will regularly receive a fresh version of the game with new songs, and between releases, everyone will be able to try the DLC - in the end, the gameplay of dancing is not boring.
• There are songs that are fun to dance to even after many years. Y.M.C.A., for example.
There are forty-eight songs in the playlist - two less than in the last game: fourteen songs for duets, eight for four players and twenty-six for solo dances (although no one bothers to dance to them in any quantity) . As before, the dancers repeat the movements of the avatar on the screen, earn points and get stars by competing with each other. For these points, new modes like Mash-Up (a collection of movements from a variety of songs) or On Stage (one player is a star, the rest are backup dancers) are then opened.
Kinect still records your dances and after the end of the song offers you to watch a short video clip that will surely make you laugh out loud. By the way, now the video can be improved with special effects: increase the heads of all participants or arrange a psychedelic, making sure that every movement leaves a colored trail.
• Sometimes Just Dance is a true trust game.
Do you dare to jump on the orders of the TV into the arms (or back) of your partner?
The sensor does not track the situation very well and gives concessions (with a certain trick, five stars can be scored even while sitting), but who would think of finding fault when people scream and almost fight, choosing the next song, and in the morning they wake you up with a call: “Dude, the party was awesome, let's do it again?!”
Awkward Dancing
There are not so many additions compared to the previous version. First, we changed the menu navigation - now you don't need to poke your finger into the screen, trying to get to the icon. At noisy (and not very sober) parties in Just Dance 4, this caused a lot of trouble, but now there simply cannot be random or not triggered actions in the menu: select an element, hold your hand in the desired position for a few seconds, and voila. It doesn't look as pretentious as before, but it's much more convenient.
• Four people are dancing and two others have nothing to do? Hint to them that the camera records dancers only at certain moments (the corresponding indicator appears on the screen), and in order for the video to turn out to be more fun, you need to actively grimace in the background at this time, jump, make faces and throw pillows.
Also, in Ubisoft finally figured out that dancing is a much better way to lose weight than the Kinect Sports or Nike+ Kinect Training , so say hello to Just Sweat, a fat-burning regimen with a calorie counter! Forty minutes of non-stop dancing - weak? Repeat every day and in a couple of months the girls will like you again.
• Here is an idea for you what to give to your friends for the next March 8th. Just call three more friends and learn this dance!
But these are not all the changes, of course. The main thing is the online mode The World Dance Floor, thanks to which you can not only show your friends recorded mini-clips via social networks, but also arrange real dance battles. Think your party is better than some John from America or Klaus from Germany? So prove it - get on the dance floor and show class!
Why do we need games in the broad sense of the word? From scientific treatises of various culturologists and psychologists, something like this follows: the game gives vent to excess vitality, realizes animal instincts, satisfies the need for rest, trains skills, realizes the desire for supremacy, and, finally, unites people.
What gives a person Just Dance? Allows you to let off steam, draws a person to his biological roots (almost all living beings have a dance ritual in one form or another), gives emotions, loses calories, trains the body, challenges (to score more stars than friends) and at the same time unites people.
While David Cage is desperately trying to make a game interesting for everyone - children and adults, women and men, cats and dogs - Ubisoft silently releases another Just Dance. A game that will appeal to anyone who gets up in front of the TV and starts dancing.

Gazeta.Ru talked to Moscow tangueros and found out why the Argentinean tango, a dance of passion and suffering, has suddenly become so popular. And, of course, how to learn it.
In Moscow, almost every day (and sometimes several times a day) a milonga takes place somewhere - a party where tango is danced. The number of tango schools and studios that have appeared in Russia since the late 90s is growing - more and more people want to find space to calmly and beautifully express their most difficult emotions. Gazeta.Ru decided to find out what is the secret of this magical and popular dance.
Recently, Australian scientists from the University of New England found the beneficial effects of Argentine tango on mental health. Participants in the experiment, aged 18 to 75, complaining of depression, anxiety, stress and insomnia attended tango lessons for two weeks.
As a result, the general emotional background of the majority has noticeably improved, self-esteem and the ability to enjoy life have increased.
The effect persisted for about a month after the end of classes.
Theory of passion
Tango originated in Argentina at the end of the 19th century among the lower strata of society. In the 1910s, the dance penetrates the elite and quickly wins universal love. Around the same time, he ended up in Europe, where real tangomania begins, and by the beginning of the 20s - in the USA. 1935-1955 - the "golden age" of tango, the time of creating music, to which they mainly dance today - to the orchestras of Juan D'Arienzo, Osvaldo Pugliese. Since the mid-1950s, the work of the composer Astor Piazzolla finally elevates tango to the rank of serious music. Different styles are formed: salon, milonguero, fantasy, nuevo, moderno…
The basic elements of tango are step and turn, presented in a huge number of variations. The peculiarity of tango is that it is an improvisational dance, and it is impossible to learn it - every time you combine elements in a new way, you create a completely new dance.
In this case, the initiator is a man, and the role of a woman is to sensitively capture the direction and pulse of the dance. At the same time, this is not a game of "guessing" - a man should make it clear enough to his partner how the dance will go on, and she, in turn, should understand him.
And this is where the fun begins: in order for the dialogue to take place, the partners have to learn to trust and open up to each other.
“People are becoming more open to relationships. Tango teaches you to solve problems in pairs. If you want to get something from someone, you have to give him what he needs,” says Gigio Giovanni , a dancer and tango teacher with 20 years of experience from Argentina, who lives in Moscow. “Usually we hide behind words, and when you dance, you have nowhere to go. Everything becomes clear."
The non-verbal communication that takes place in tango cannot be false, unlike everyday life. “Tango teaches a man to be a man,” Gigio continues.
“Actually, this is not an easy task.
Everyone can be a man like an animal. Tango teaches you to be a gentleman, to understand what you want and how to get it.
In turn, women become more feminine, learn to listen, to feel the situation.”
Tango not only replays the history of communication from within, but also builds relationships among people around it. Life in the tango community is very active: new acquaintances inevitably appear, there is no need to wonder where to go in the evening. For women, this is a reason to change jeans and T-shirts for dresses and elegant shoes, for men - to feel irresistible.
“Of course, the gender imbalance is quite pronounced in tango,” says Anna Zyuzina , a tango teacher and co-founder of one of the first Moscow tango schools. - And a man who really learned to dance will be a success with women. Self-esteem is growing - for some, it even sometimes jumps over the threshold of adequacy. Of course, liking girls is already an interesting moment.
And good self-esteem then helps in other areas of life.
“For me, tango is an allegory of life,” Gigio continues. — It is useless to go to tango with the aim of finding something definite, for example family happiness, if you have not found yourself first. And if you have found yourself, then everything else is possible. Tango is both suffering, and passion, and melancholy. Who dances tango overcomes these feelings more easily in life. Sadness is also a skill, you need to be able to live it.
Practicing love
But tango is definitely not only about sadness, otherwise it wouldn't be so popular. First of all, this dance attracts with the possibility of a truly beautiful communication between a man and a woman.
“It usually takes a long time in life before you hug your loved one for the first time,” Gigio says. “And the tango begins with a hug, and besides, it's just a hug, just a dance.

The favorite venues for Moscow tangueros are the Teplitsa cafe, Sad named after. Bauman, Catherine Park, Museum of Moscow, TIR studio, Flakon design factory, Rhythm-Blues cafe. It is customary to put music in blocks of three or four tango compositions with almost no pauses - this is “tanda”.
Between the tandas are "cortinas" - short inserts of other music, such as salsa or rock and roll, when you can talk with a partner or find a new one.
To interrupt the tanda is a gross violation of "kodigos", tango etiquette. By the way, he paints the norms of behavior in the milongas to the smallest detail. They are easy to remember, helping to avoid embarrassing situations and feel like a real dance retro evening.
Special case
Of course, everyone's personal history of relationships with tango is unique. But we still asked two Moscow tangeros - a man and a woman - to tell us their story.
Maxim Muraviev, has been dancing since 2010 :
“I came to tango after graduating from university. I wanted to change my life ... To the question posed to myself “How?” a lightbulb with the inscription "Argentine tango" lit up in my head. It seemed strange to me - I didn’t know what kind of dance it was, and I never danced anything ... Six months later I noisily celebrated my birthday at the milonga, and a year later I gradually learned what “codigos” was, and finally got involved.
