I give this game an overall review of 10. It's a great party starter and a lot of fun. The gameplay was good and the graphics and sound were amazing. One thing I did not like about the game was the fact that there was a Selena Gomez song in it.

The 6 Best Just Dance Games Of All Time
Becoming a Superstar and falling over in your own home sums up Just Dance games. The game started life on the much-loved Nintendo Wii with later games being available on a variety of consoles. It was and still is, developed and published by Ubisoft. The aim of the game is to follow the movements of the dancer on screen and try to score points by being as accurate as possible.
RELATED: It's Time For Rhythm Games To Make A Comeback (On The Switch)
There have been 12 games in the main Just Dance series since then, not including spin-offs games and Japan Exclusives. The latest Just Dance games are good but many of the best songs are only available through having to pay extra money to access them in DLCs. Additionally, no new massively game-altering features or modes have been added since the 2018 edition. This is reflected in our choices.
6/6 Just Dance 2 - Released In October 2010
Just Dance 2, as the name suggests, is the second game of the franchise and is one of the best. The game was well-received by the public and a lot of praise was given to the addition of a new 'duet' mode for certain songs. The duet mode was designed to allow two people to dance together whilst following different avatars on the screen. The choreography in duet mode could vary depending on which dancer you chose to follow.
The song listings in the game were excellent too with many big names making the cut. The variety of songs were highly suited to the new dance battle mode. Up to eight players in two teams could compete against one another in the same song to become the ultimate dance machine.
5/6 Just Dance 2014 - Released October 2013
The fifth installment in the game series, Just Dance 2014 brought a variety of new stuff to the table for wannabe dancers to sink their teeth into. There are 50 songs in the main soundtrack of the game and certain songs have an 'on stage' mode. In this mode, one of you can act as the main star of the song whilst the others act as their backup dancers. It definitely makes you feel like a superstar.

An online multiplayer mode was added too and this allowed players around the world to compete against others on the same song. However, the online services for the game ended in late 2018. The only downside to this game for many fans was that other songs were added as DLC's but many felt it was unfair to have to pay for extra songs.
4/6 Just Dance 4 - Released October 2012
Just Dance four came out in October 2012. This was the first game in the franchise to be available on the Wii-U. A lot of features from the earlier games were dropped from this game in favor of focusing on improving the remaining modes. Simon says mode and eight-player modes were among the ones that were removed.
In Just Dance 4, you have something called Dance Quests, and these consist of tasks that you need to achieve for each song. Once the tasks have been completed then you are rewarded with in-game points, known as Mojos. The complete song list is one of the best out of all of the games. The game even won the Favorite Videogame award at the Kids Choice Awards 2013.
3/6 Just Dance 3 - Released October 2011
The third game of the Just Dance franchise did not disappoint fans of the earlier games. It follows the same premise of having you follow the dancer on the screen to earn points and there are over 40 songs for them to choose from. With video games helping us to work out since the 1908's, it's no surprise that the franchise is so popular.

The Dance Crew mode was introduced in this game and this let up to four players dance together. This added to the worldwide feeling that Just Dance is an excellent party game. The soundtrack for this game is arguably almost iconic as there are a ton of classic songs on there. From Gwen Stefani to A-Ha, there are songs that span across decades and cater to many musical tastes.
2/6 Just Dance 2018 - Released October 2017
Just Dance 2018 is the ninth installment of the main franchise. This game added a whole new mode called 'Kids Mode' which created choreography designed for younger players. Again, this added to the family-friendly appeal of Just Dance games. A lot of the main soundtrack songs can be found in 'Kids Mode' with simplified dance moves.
The soundtrack to the game included over 40 hit songs that definitely bring a summer vibe to the game. Within the songs available, many of them have multiple dancers for you to choose from. One of the most noticeable things in Just Dance 2018 is the highly improved responses to your movements and this made the game much more enjoyable as well as more challenging.
1/6 Just Dance - Released 2009
The game that started it all is still one of the best, even with all of its spin-offs and sequels. It introduced the gaming world to the dancing franchise but surprisingly it was widely criticized for how simple it was. However, this was an instance where critics were proven wrong by gamers as it became a worldwide phenomenon. It sold over 4.3 million copies and became known as one of the best multiplayer games out there.
The soundtrack may be the most limited of all of the games but it's still one of the best. The game has classic hit songs that let you embody your favorite stars. From swiveling your pelvis as Elvis Presley to sassing your way to stardom as Britney Spears, there's something for everyone!

How to party with Just Dance
- Resources
July 01, 2019
“Just Dance is a dance game, the easiest way to explain it is as “dance karaoke” Anton, the organizer of Just dance parties, tells about the super popular computer game and how to arrange an exciting dance party with its help.

About the game
I got acquainted with Just Dance in 2009, even before the release of the first part of the game, when I worked at the Igromir exhibition at the demo stand of this very first part. Since then, I have been developing the Just Dance community and do not miss a single new part.
JD is very easy to play. One of the tracks presented in the game is selected. Players are placed in front of the camera, or pick up controllers, and repeat the movements of the dancer on the screen. The game puts a "score" for each movement performed and sums up the result at the end. Depending on the platform, 4 to 6 people can play and earn points at the same time.
About parties
A variety of events related to Just Dance are constantly held all over the world and in Russia as well. Some of them are supported by Ubisoft, the company that released the game, but most of the tournaments and parties are organized by the game's community, those people who love to dance in JD. We don't like the term fan club. We have a group of initiative people who organize events, and there is a large community of ordinary Just Dance lovers - guests of our events.
About the rules
There are unspoken "rules of etiquette" that are familiar to experienced Just Dance players - for example, all participants must be sure to dance for the same dancer in the game, judges must ensure that participants do not cover each other or move closer than others to camera, or, for example, you can not compare numerical results from different songs.
But in fact there are no officially approved rules. If the tournament is hosted by people who are not associated with Ubisoft or who do not have much experience in organizing Just Dance, then anything can be on it - they can both violate the above rules, and, conversely, add some stricter ones of their own.
At parties, unlike tournaments, we try to take a backseat to earning points, and all participants just dance for their pleasure, repeating the movements from Just Dance. This allows you to involve an almost unlimited number of participants at the same time.
In official Ubisoft tournaments, the rules are documented immediately before each tournament. Sometimes they count not only the points of the players earned in the game itself, but also, for example, the score of the judges who evaluate the dance component and the accuracy of the players' performance or the audience vote.
About the players
The greatest interest in Just Dance is shown, of course, by children and young people under 30 years old, but this is if we talk specifically about those who attend parties or somehow try to express themselves through Just Dance.
But people of absolutely all professions and ages love to play at home with family or friends.
Of course, in our community there are famous people, their own stars. First of all, these are the winners of championships of different levels, as well as YouTubers and streamers who make Just Dance content.
There are also those who organize events or gather people around them, like us. The same people exist in other countries. This also attracts some attention.)
Dancing
Each part offers 40 songs to players, plus additional dances and dances from old parts are available by subscription. Just Dance features many different styles, but most of it is contemporary pop and dance. In the playlist of any part, there are older songs, and dances for Latin lovers, and children's dances - but these are single tracks. There are themed playlists in which songs are grouped by style. But, of course, you cannot choose a style for each specific song - all the dances in the game are pre-recorded and cannot be changed at the player's request.
If you set a goal, then using the game you can pump yourself well in dancing. But for this you need to devote a lot of time to training, and also receive adequate feedback - participate in tournaments, go to parties, dance in front of a mirror, or record yourself on camera.
But, even if you just sometimes play at home and learn dances, this can already give a good result - help you open up, help you gain flexibility, endurance and a sense of rhythm.

About hardware and software
Just Dance is primarily a game that is intended for entertainment at home in your company. You can buy a disc with Just Dance for any modern game console (even for the Nintendo Wii). For some platforms, you may need to purchase additional controllers, but, for example, for the Nintendo switch, everything you need is already included in the console itself.
If there is no console at hand, then you can use the Just Dance Now application on a computer or Apple TV - in this case, instead of controllers, players can use their mobile phones (on current generation consoles, the phone can also be used as a controller).
In order to play at a party, you can simply put up a TV and allocate a small space (literally a few meters), and then 5-10 people can comfortably dance. Or you can put up a huge plasma screen or a projector, connect a powerful sound and not limit the space - and then dozens of people will be able to dance at the same time.
About love
We love this game and have been doing it for so many years, because it's a great combination of physical activity and gaming experience, and it's really very interesting.
Just Dance allows even those who have never had a love of physical exercise to join the dance. In addition, dancing, especially in a large friendly company, is a great emotion and a great way to socialize. Every day we watch how people find themselves, find friends and become more confident in themselves thanks to Just Dance.

General Information
Just Dance is a cross-platform music game from Ubisoft, first released in 2009. Initially, the game was designed only for the Wii console. To earn points, players must follow the movements of the dancer on the screen.
Now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. In 2014, the Just Dance Now mobile app was released, where a smartphone is enough to dance,
any screen (TV, tablet, computer) and a good internet connection.
Just Dance has over 400 popular songs that you can rock hard to. Rock out to the latest hits or established classics.
In the game, you can choose the normal mode or Sweat - to get a good sweat. Why do you need a gym membership when you can buy an annual Just Dance subscription?
Train every day, burn calories and hone your dancing skills! To be honest, we loved this game so much that we recreated the dance from Just Dance for Allcorrect's birthday!
Project management
We started working on translating the game into Russian in 2014. At first, the volume of work was small, and we managed with the help of full-time translators. Later, the tasks became more and more, so the team had to be expanded by freelancers.
In this project, Ubisoft asked us not to translate song titles. Still, we are not in the Voice show, where absolutely everything is translated into Russian. :) But another difficulty arose - the names in the game are almost always beaten. For example, when Calvin Harris & Disciples appeared in Just Dance, the developers reported it like this: How Deep is Your Love for this month’s new track? Our translation into Russian: "How Deep is Your Love - new track this month! Like?" So we kept the message of the original.
By adding the song Break Free, the developers played on the word free, which means both “free” and “free” at the same time. See for yourself: Break Free this week with a free song
Peach, a famous character from the Ubisoft universe, appears in Just Dance. The developers jokingly call him (and in fact - her) naughty girl, which means a mischievous or playful girl. And they introduced the hero like this: Rabbids Peach is a “Naughty Girl” in this special Mario Rabbids Kingdom Battle themed choreo. Literally, it can be translated as follows: "Peach the Rabbit is a real mischievous girl in a special dance in the style of Mario + Rabidds: Battle for the Kingdom." We couldn't translate the title of the song to give it the proper communicative effect, so we decided to use the verb "play pranks", which is not in the original: "Rabbit Peach plays pranks to a Naughty Girl song and dances like Mario + Rabidds: Battle for the Kingdom."
Another interesting point is the transfer of the names of fan communities of famous performers. The difficulty lies in the fact that in Russian these names do not always sound the same as in the original language, and some are simply missing. Therefore, in the process of translation, it was impossible to follow a single rule.
So, the name of Justin Bieber's fan group Beliebers was transcribed - "Beliebers", because the singer's Russian-speaking fans call themselves that way. Fanclub Britney Spears Britney Soldiers we have translated as Britney's Soldiers. It seemed inappropriate for us to translate the name of the fan club of the singer Kesha Animal, so instead of "animals" we left the transcription option - "Animal". In the Russian-speaking environment, Kesha's fans do not have their own name.
However, in the case of Avril Lavigne fans who call themselves Black Star, the transcription did not fit, because we have Black Star - this is the label of rapper Timati. Therefore, in the Russian version of Just Dance, the Avril Lavigne fan community is called the Black Star.
If in the case of Kesha, Britney Spears and Avril Lavigne we had to name the fan clubs ourselves in Russian, then Beyoncé fans in our culture already had it. And not one, but two at once: "Beehivers" and "Bee Hive" (from the English Beyhive, where Bey is the singer's nickname, consonant with bee - "bee", and hive - "hive"). We found out that the most common variant is the transliteration "Bihiver", and chose this version.
