What is Banda Music?
Banda music is a subgenre of Latin music. Banda is a style of Regional Mexican music and the musical ensemble (Banda means “band” in Spanish) of wind instruments, mostly of brass and percussion. If you’re thinking Banda (often confused with Mariachi) sounds like polka, you’re not wrong.
In this video, you’ll hear the traditional Banda sound. Do you hear trumpets, a clarinet, and a tuba? According to Berklee, you’ll typically see a Banda including “3 Trumpets, 4 clarinets, 3 valve trombones, 2 Eb alto horns, and 1 sousaphone. ”

What is the History of Banda Music?
The history of Banda music in Mexico dates from the mid-1800s with the arrival of piston metal (brass) instruments. The first Bandas were formed in Southern and Central Mexico. Pancho Villa had Bandas with him wherever he went — as dictators often do — and that popularized the music along with access to brass instruments.
Banda hasn’t died in popularity, though, NPR’s podcast about the tuba revolution even talked about the rise of theft of those instruments in Los Angeles.
Banda is even getting more views than Bruno Mars and Cardi B!

"Dance of the Little Horse" ) is a fun and mature dance style performed to the rhythm of a cummbia orchestra , which is a musical variation of the Mexican cumbia that originated from the combination of cumbia and guard. nationally adapted and engraved by Mexican or foreign groups, mixed with the own sounds of the predominant Sinaloense groups in the Pacific zone of Mexico at the beginning of 90s, for both dance and music, they are bound indiscriminately to both limits (terms).

Toponymy
Cumbia Bande is a variant of the Mexican cumbia as a musical group, the so-called Cumbia was born as a band because it is also a variant of the call of a techno band, which uses electronic elements for a couple that made it a technocambia, at this time the musical taste of the group prevails , another rhythm that will later impose in this atmosphere (climate), "little horse" or simply Quebradita.
Cumbia Banda is a special sound with a basic rhythm and metal brass performance by more players than the great Mexican cumbia orchestras of the 60s, melodic metal styles inherited from the American big band. The style was united by several successes with this style of cumbia - a group with various synaloens groups. nine0003
This is called "quebradita" with a bend that is performed after performing a step of this dance in the cumbión rhythm on behalf of the techno gang.
So, the dance of Kebradita uses the music of Kambia Banda for her performance, and in her case both terms (terms) are used indiscriminately for the musical style and for the dance.
This type of dance is characterized by a special choreography and turning movements, which are realized in accordance with the cumbion compass of each piece of music performed. nine0003
The steps of the Quebradite dance are as follows:
He is dancing in pairs, the man takes his hands completely around the waist of the woman. The legs will have to join at the appropriate intervals between them, as they must maintain harmony, as they (they) move in the same way and in the same position. in the same time. The movement is this: alternating the feet with small jumps that force the body to balance on one side and on the other side, this swing is a "broken" movement, turning (performed) in the stance (place) or around the living. room. The man causes what he (she) calls fallen, that is, the cause of the woman being thrown behind her right back. nine0003
