Who is Brendan Cole?

Brendan Cole is a 45-year-old ballroom dancer originally from Christchurch, New Zealand.

He started dancing at the age of six and went on to become a professional dancer after leaving school at the age of seventeen.

Like Anton du Beke, Brendan was one of the original professionals who joined Strictly Come Dancing when it launched in 2004.

His celebrity dance partners over the years included Kirsty Gallacher, Jo Wood, Kelly Brook, Anastacia and Lulu.

Why did Brendan leave Strictly?

During an interview with Lorraine Kelly on her daytime TV show in January 2018, Brendan announced he had been axed from the show.

Over the years Brendan also made headlines for his clashes with head judge Len Goodman, as well as bullying claims when he branded GMTV host Fiona Phillips "the worst partner he had ever had".

In February 2018, The Sun broke the news Brendan had been given the boot for dancing with Camilla Parker Bowles at Buckingham Palace.

Then in August 2018, it was revealed that Brendan is now "banned" from even going to watch the show.

While speaking again to Lorraine, the professional dancer revealed: "It’s quite hard to talk about, the BBC haven’t renewed my contract.

"They’ve made an editorial decision not to have me back on the show."

Although he didn't mention much else, there is a rumour to suggest the "real" reason he was axed from the show was down to Shirley Ballas being upset with him for rejecting her - although this has never been confirmed.

Who is Brendan Cole's wife Zoe Hobbs?

Zoe Hobbs is a 37-year-old model and lifestyle blogger.

The couple has been married since 2010 and has a daughter called Aurelia, who was born on Christmas Day in 2012.

What is Brendan Cole's net worth?

Brendan has a reported net worth of around £3million.

After he was axed from Strictly it is estimated that his current assets were £357,000 with a post-tax profit of £71,000.

The dancer owns a two-bedroom cottage in Buckinghamshire worth around £350,000.

MOSCOW, November 2 - RIA Novosti. The West thought it had won a "great victory" over Russia at the UN, but it was wrong, writes Brendan Cole in an article for Newsweek magazine. "but it only masked a very big failure in terms of explaining the Western position," Jonathan Eyal, deputy director of the London think tank The Royal United Services Institute, quotes the publication. The article notes that in the Global South it is widely believed that Russia was forced to start special operation. "There is a deep resentment towards the West for all its colonial past and everything else, which is definitely much stronger than any suspicions about Russia," the author writes. According to Cole, the United States and its Western allies have been exploring options for excluding Russia from the G20 for quite some time. But it turned out to be practically impossible to do this, since the host of the current summit - Indonesia, as well as India, Brazil, South Africa and China do not want to support such a decision. “It was rather arrogant on the part of the West to advocate for the withdrawal of Russia from the G20. The global world order is turning away from the US and the EU. The condemnation of Russia has not received such a wide response in countries outside of them,” the journalist concluded. Russia has been conducting a military special operation in Ukraine since February 24. Vladimir Putin called its task "the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years." According to the president, the ultimate goal of the operation is the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions that guarantee Russia's security.
