HOW MUCH DOES BALLROOM DANCING COST? • DanceHall

Ballroom dancing for children is a big step for parents. However, like any sports activities of the child. It doesn't matter if it's rhythmic gymnastics, karate, figure skating or ballroom dancing. 1. GROUP LESSONS in ballroom dancing

500-800 UAH/month

Group classes are held 3-4 times a week for 1 hour. (Training schedule of the DanceHall club)

At group lessons, children master the basics, learn common compositions, analyze new elements, dance their programs in “practices”. Plus, in our club, there are additional physical training classes for a dancer. It's all in groups.

2. SHOES. Special shoes for ballroom dancing.

From 600 UAH to 1500 UAH (available for 3000)

You can buy it in any specialized store, which is enough in our city. Just a reminder - always consult with your trainer before buying. Especially newbies. In addition, some stores provide an additional discount for a coach or a club. You can use. Ask the trainer.

How long to wear shoes? A pair of shoes can stay with a child for 1-2 years.

3. TRAINING CLOTHING for ballroom dancing

Partners: trousers - from 500 UAH; T-shirt - from 150 UAH

Partners: skirt - from 400 UAH; jacket or swimsuit - from 180 UAH.

4. INDIVIDUAL LESSONS in ballroom dancing

Couple: 240-300 UAH/1 academic hour (45 minutes)

Solo: 180-240 UAH/1 academic hour hour

In addition to classes in a group, there is a need to study with a teacher individually (as a couple or even separately with a child). Already after the first 3 months of training.

The recommended frequency is at least once a week. From the second or third year of study - 2 times a week.

Why are individuals needed?

In group classes, it is simply impossible to have time for everyone and everyone individually to explain and correct his personal mistake. Everyone needs their own approach. Everyone has a different speed of assimilation of information (“reaches” in different ways).

And we remember that ballroom dancing is a sport that brings up individuality. Competitive compositions are almost always staged individually. Since the groups are given a general average variation that does not take into account individuality and does not emphasize the winning sides.

In addition, the group always focuses on the most capable.

The earlier the individual, the less problems with technical errors later. The more often individu - the significantly faster the result.

5. COMPETITIONS in ballroom dancing

Entry fee: from 150 UAH per participant

Entrance fee for parents: from 100 UAH/1 ticket competitions in another city).

We recommend the first entry to the competitive parquet after 3 (three) months of classes. Our opinion is that the sooner the better. If you do not go to the competition in the first six months of training - forget about ballroom dancing - the child will get bored.

The frequency of participation in competitions depends on the level of the athlete. Optimal for the first year of study - 1 time in 1-2 months. Further - 1-2 times a month.

Ballroom dancing tournaments are an integral part of the learning process. 1 competition in terms of effect is equal to 1 month of classes in a group. It is here - at the competition - that the little dancer grows as an athlete, rises in the class and categories, gains a rating.

6. COSTUME FOR THE COMPETITION

Beginners (up to 12 years old. "Basic")

Almost always, a noticeable suit is an individual tailoring by a specialized craftsman. Even for beginner solo participants. A good costume (or dress) tones the dancers themselves. Especially girls. It has been proven over the years, in a new beautiful costume, the partner dances more emotionally.

7. SEMINARS, SUMMER CAMPS, BLACKPOOL

Further, if you decide to train effectively, club summer training camps will be added (2 weeks of camps are equivalent to 3 months of training).

C D class - seminars and lessons with eminent dance teachers, world dance stars. Trips to competitions in other cities and countries (for example, in Blackpool, England).

Everything is limited only by your ambitions and possibilities.

Basically, you can dance quite "on a budget". That is, most of those who dance “as it were, for themselves” invest in dancing no more than 800 - 1200 UAH / month (group + 1 competition).

Those who want to see the result and a stable growth of the couple's achievements invest 1500 - 2500 UAH / month (groups, individuals, competitions). This is for beginners!

Individual dance lessons for adults: how many lessons does it take to learn to dance

In order to learn how to dance one dance, you will need 10 individual lessons according to the author's program of Yegor Shemetov. You can even start practicing without having your own pair, because for a start you just need to learn your game and a certain set of basic steps.

Already at the first lesson you will immediately understand that learning to dance is not at all difficult. Any dance includes a certain number of steps, which are divided into difficulty levels:

👉Newcomer (for beginning adults with no previous dancing experience)

👉Bronze (first year of dancing)

👉Silver (second year of dancing)

👉Gold (third year of dancing)

The participation of adults in tournaments according to the PRO-AM system is based on this principle of division. The Newcomer level includes literally a couple of basic steps, having mastered which you can even go out on a professional dance floor.

Individual dance lessons for adults: duration and program of lesson

Individual dance lessons for adults, as well as dance lessons for children, last an academic hour (45 minutes). This is quite enough to get the information that you will be able to remember.

Traditionally, the lesson begins with a warm-up (one melody 3-5 minutes), the task of which is to check the body for readiness to exercise and stretch the muscles. Then comes the main part of the lesson (about 20 minutes), where the teacher analyzes one or two figures in detail, and the lesson ends with a practical part (20 minutes) where you have the opportunity to consolidate the material received.

At the end of each lesson, you can always ask for new elements to be filmed so that you can practice them outside of school if you so desire.

Individual dance lessons for adults - when to expect the result

To answer this question, we will tell you about one event that we held for media representatives - Media Dance Cup. It was a ballroom dancing tournament for beginners.

The tournament was held according to the PRO AM system (Professional-Amateur; professional + amateur) , where media representatives acted as amateurs, and professional ballroom dancers paired them up.

Each of the participants had 10 individual lessons with a professional dancer to learn TWO DANCES , drawn by lot (one from the European program: slow waltz, foxtrot, tango, quickstep, the second from the Latin American dance program: samba, rumba, cha- cha-cha, jive) and one group lesson where they learned the basic steps of salsa, which the participants also had to dance as part of the tournament, and not even with their partner.

The competition was evaluated by a competent jury, which included:

Dmitry Shipilov (absolute champion of St. Petersburg in ballroom dancing)

Irina Ashkinadze (President of Defile on the Neva)

Daria Vorontsova (actress, model, "Miss Kinodiva-2012", general director of the modeling agency SKYmodels)

Plus there was a vote among the audience. Each guest had the opportunity to vote for one of the project participants. In the final, the jury's scores and the votes of the audience were summed up. The winner was determined by the sum of points and votes of the audience.
