Dog waltz on piano by keys
September 22, 2020
The dog waltz became a kind of musical meme even before the word even appeared. The unpretentious melody became famous for its simplicity - learning to play the piano often begins with learning this particular composition. Some people show curiosity and learn dog waltz on the piano or synthesizer just to impress their acquaintances by extracting harmonious sounds from the instrument.
In different countries, the melody has different names - from "Cat Polka" in Finland and "Chop" in France, to the Japanese name "I stepped on a cat." Despite its popularity, the authorship of the melody remains a mystery to this day. Some attribute the melody to Frederic Chopin, confusing it with his real composition "Waltz of the Little Dog", and one German historian even wrote an entire hoax book, with a completely fictional composer, to whom he attributed the authorship of the dog waltz.
Contents:
- Dog Waltz on piano - how to play
- Dog waltz on the piano by numbers
Regardless of the purpose of learning, this tune is great for beginners to master, and in our article we will try to explain how to play the dog waltz on the piano and synthesizer as simply as possible. For beginners, we have prepared a scheme with numbers - you just have to press the keys.
The synthesizer has a piano keyboard, so the arrangement of notes will not differ from that of a piano. The only thing to consider is that your synthesizer must be able to play several notes at once, simultaneously pressed on the keyboard, that is, be polyphonic. If this point is passed, proceed to training.
Piano Dog Waltz
Let's assume that you don't know music at all yet.
- We number the white keys with numbers from 1 to 7, starting with the note "Do", as shown in the figure
- Let's number the black ones with fractional numbers, because the notes of the black keys are semitones between the white keys.
- We have marked each octave with its own color. A full-fledged piano has 88 keys, which are divided into 8 octaves.
- The note you need to play will have a key number and a color corresponding to the desired octave where that key is located.
- Notes to be played with the left hand are marked with an "L".
Let's write down the order of pressing the notes in turn, from left to right. There are moments in the composition when it is necessary to press two notes at once at the same time - we will write such places with a double number, the numbers of which will also indicate the location of the note on the keyboard, from left to right.
Since it is difficult to indicate intervals and pauses in such a scheme, we recommend that you listen to the waltz in its entirety before learning, and learn it along with listening. This is very useful - you will learn to feel the music, and this will help in improvisation.
Dog waltz on the piano by numbers:
Dog waltz on the piano is played in a small and first octave.
As you can see, the numbers in the circles represent the key number in the octave, and the color of the circle represents the octave itself, following the general scheme above.
Notes to be played with the left hand are marked with an "L".

EDITOR
A child from early childhood likes to approach the piano and hit the keys; he often tells adults that he "can play". Long before the age when children are accepted to a music school, his curiosity and interest in music can be awakened by the sensitive attitude of the elders: show the baby some simple song, and he will play with great pleasure her. You can gradually start exercising with it regularly for several minutes. in a day. At first, the child needs to listen to as much music as is available to him, moreover, one should tell him figuratively the content, start under this music various games, and then from time to time bring the baby to the piano and gradually initiate into the secrets of musical art.
The purpose of this book is to help parents who can play the piano, and home musical education of preschool children.
Lidia Petrovna Kheresko (1886-1964) dedicated her whole life to its author. musical education of children. The fruit of her many years of practice was a real work imbued with love for the child, understanding of his soul.
In preparation for publication, the editor made a number of changes in order to make the work more consistent in methodological terms and closer to modern children. The section devoted to the very initial learning stage - popular children's songs in easy arrangements have been added. Some numbers are lured by others - more modern pieces and ensembles. In addition, the section "Methodological remarks" has been significantly expanded - and it introduced a number of instructions necessary for managers who are not in their own way professions as piano teachers.
When compiling the proposed manual, the author proceeded from the fact that
that it is very difficult for a child to learn musical notation.
Before starting to get acquainted with her, the child must acquire initial auditory and movement skills to music, learn play simple songs and plays. It is very useful to play songs from different notes. It promotes the development of hearing and helps to better navigate. on keyboard.
The first acquaintance with music and playing an instrument is devoted to a large book section. It mainly consists of arrangements of children's songs, taken from the collection of N. Metlov. All these songs should be learned "by hand", and when the child already begins to navigate in the direction of the melody, - and relying on his hearing. Regularly, from the very first lessons you need to give hearing development tasks for the child: at first it will be simple questions: which of the two sounds is higher (at first, the child listens to sounds located far apart, then closer, and finally adjacent), in which direction the melody moves: then gradually introduce the child to the size of the interval (of course, he should not know difficult names for him, but sometimes when the game of finger exercises, one can also mention the words "third", "fifth"). The songs in the first section are in ascending order. range, and the child, especially if he tries to transpose learned works, will very quickly catch the connection of intervals with a certain the position of the fingers on the keyboard. When a child plays songs, everything is necessary time to pay his attention to the expressiveness of the performance. But, of course of course, from the very first steps it is necessary to accustom the child to work on technique. In the methodological notes at the end of the book, exercises are given to many plays. Of course, in the beginning these will be the simplest exercises, but they should not be neglected, because each of them is designed to overcome difficulties encountered in the play.
Exercises and etudes should be played a little, but regularly, every day, and it is necessary from time to time to repeat the previously covered material. The methodological notes give advice to parents on how to approach learning one play or another.
From here, there is already one step left to a worthless musical notation, and if the baby has the skill of such a "graphic representation" of songs, she will not imagine no problem for him.
In the same way, from the very beginning, the attention of the child must be paid to the rhythmic the structure of the song (already learned). If, while playing a song, offer him evenly clap your hands (for example, in quarters), then he will very soon notice that there are notes on which two and four claps are made. it will lead him to understand the notation of rhythm. But still, in the future, small the pianist will not immediately learn to read all the rhythmically difficult passages from music. And the reason is not that the child is not able to catch a complex rhythm (after all, children often perceive very complex rhythms with fluff), and in the inability to correctly read it (in rhythm notation, a lot is connected with the score, with not yet area of arithmetic familiar to children - fractions). In this guide, the author sought in many plays (including complex ones) to help the baby, subtexting music. The figurative content of these simple rhymes will increase interest child to the play being analyzed.
Of course, when a child has learned a piece, he must only play, not sing, but initially, when an adult plays a piece for him and learn the words with him, the rhythm of the play will be remembered by him for a long time, and the analysis the notes will thus be half relieved. Then, when the play learned, it is necessary to analyze its rhythm by notes - this will facilitate the analysis those plays that have no subtext.
As already mentioned, lessons with kids should be entertaining. Revive lesson and will make it easier to understand the joke or rhyme said to the place. Such jokes poetic explanations, games and riddles are also in this book.
It is good to push the child's imagination, tell him some story (not contradicting, of course, the nature of the music). Extraordinarily useful for children and ensemble play, which is widely recommended here. Majority songs placed at the beginning of the book, arranged for the student to play together and teachers. It can be a game of four hands, three hands (the student plays melody with one hand) or two hands (each participant plays one voice). In the future, real four-handed ensembles are given (“Petya” from the fairy tale by S. Prokofiev). We pay attention to the fact that when playing ladders, placed at the beginning of the book, the child should sit normally, in the middle keyboards (and not as in ensemble playing - on the side), and an adult - on the left.
In addition to the pieces that the child must learn by himself, a number of more difficult works: the child will listen to them performed by adults, determine character, sometimes arrange games to the music.
You should not tire the child - it is better to practice several times a day, but little by little. The worst thing is to push him away from classes with dry pedantry, inspire him with an aversion to music.
After going through and having a good understanding of all the material contained in the book, it will be possible to start studying the pedagogical repertoire of children's musical schools.
