DANIEL BYON
Born in Gwangju, Republic of Korea.
Studied French Literature at Korea University in Seoul and Film Studies at Seoul Film Academy. Then he continued his studies in Paris - at the University of Saint-Denis and at the French National Film School. He was the first scholarship recipient of the Samsung Cultural Foundation. He also received a doctorate (in aesthetics) from the Panthéon-Sorbonne University of Paris.
In Korea, his films have won recognition for their original content and narrative structure. Daniel Pyon made a film that proved that camera expression—how and how far a camera can show a scene—is a key ingredient in making a movie. He expressed his vision in the so-called. “cinematic performances”, referring also to several dance projects, such as “Lady Liberty-2010”, “Interview with Isan Yun”, etc.
Daniel Pyong founded TMI - Transmedia Institute and worked on a project called "70 million Koreans" with renowned French photographer Yan Artaud Bertrand. His interest in the documentary direction, real people, his deep knowledge of music and art are revealed with all obviousness in the original cinema world he built. The short documentaries he created: Homo Videocus ("The Man Beholding") (1991) and "Bruno Rudan" (1995) were awarded the highest awards at festivals in Clermont-Ferrand (France), Montecatini (Italy), San Francisco. And the films "Birthday" and "Orson" participated in the official program of festivals in Oberhausen, New York, Karlovy Vary, Busan (Korea).
He also owns feature films. The Interview (2000) received festival audience acclaim in Busan, Gothenburg, Hong Kong, and Sao Paulo, as well as the Busan Critic's Award for Direction. "Scarlet Letter" (2004) was shown at festivals in Busan and Vladivostok. "Five Erotic Episodes" (2009) is a five-part tape that gathered about a million viewers in the author's homeland.

Daniel Scheinert and Dan Kwan's film "Everything Everywhere and At Once" released in Russian cinemas
The title reflects both the style of the tape and the plot: the main character fights against the evil that threatens the multiverse.
The American film "Everything everywhere and at once" was released in Russian cinemas. A film about an infinite number of worlds combines an infinite number of genres. Stanislav Anisimov understood the twists and turns of the plot.
What will happen if The Matrix is filmed in the genre of a Hong Kong action movie, and even seasoned with a specific humor typical of Asian cinema. It will turn out the film "Everything is everywhere and at once" - the title reflects both the style of the tape and the plot: the main character is fighting an evil entity that threatens the multiverse - parallel realities that exist at the same time. Directors Daniel Scheinert and Dan Kwan cast Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh in the lead role.
"They think beyond any logic. I've been working in cinema for a long time, but I haven't seen anything like it. When I read the script, my brain just exploded. What is this film about? I didn't have any versions at all. each scene has a lot of interpretations and ways of performing. I liked it, "said actress Michelle Yeoh.
Of course, this is a film about what the fulfillment of desires can lead to, the realization of a dream, in this case an American dream. Spoiler: no good. Instead of life as in a picture from a magazine - a dull routine. It was then that the authors needed the power of science fiction: what if they did everything differently? Jump into another life and another reality. Somewhere the main character became a famous actress, singer, masters martial arts, somewhere she works as a cook.
"Immediately after our first meeting, I realized that the directors are just evil geniuses. I began to ask them about the script. Well, these sausage fingers, how to understand this? How do they imagine it? I also have to dance ... And every time I told them: you know, I don't understand what's going on at all. They answered me: don't worry! we'll break through!"
"Everything everywhere and at once" is a film about everything and nothing in particular.
