What is a stick figure? A stick figure or a stickman is a simplified drawing of a person. It's not meant to look realistic.
Instead, it uses basic lines and shapes, like a circle for the head. The body and limbs are usually bare lines.

Did you know? Ancient art is often in the form of stick figures. For example, a stick figure known as a petroglyph can be seen at the Leo Petroglyph in the United States. It is thought to be about a thousand years old.
Stick figures are also used in signage because they are easy to understand, even if you don't speak or read the language.
For example, you can readily recognize the stick figures on men's or women's bathrooms, or the stick figure of a person in a wheelchair. That one is used to mean that a place is handicap accessible. Where would you place a sign with dancing stickmen?

How to draw a dancing human skeleton step by step
Halloween is coming soon, so we will draw the skeleton. There are quite a few parts to the skeleton, but if you use simple basic shapes to help with the drawing, it's pretty easy.
Since we'll be erasing the early "helper" shapes later, lightly draw on the shapes and keep your eraser handy.
We'll start by drawing the head of the skeleton first. The drawing is quite tall, so leave enough room for everything to fit.
In the guide below, each step is highlighted in blue.
You don't need special handles or tools. A regular pencil, eraser and paper is all you need. If you wish, you can also color the drawing with colored pencils or pens.
If you liked this tutorial, see also the following drawing guides: Ghost, Jack Skellington, and Skull.
First draw a small circle for the top of the skull and an overlapping rectangle below the circle.
Add two small ovals for the eyes and connect the circle and rectangle with short, curved lines.
Erase the extra lines inside the skull. Draw a small triangle for the nose and a crescent shape for the mouth.
Let's make the body go further. Draw a curved line down from the skull. This will be the spine. Add two short lines across the spine; one for the shoulders and one for the hips. They need to be tilted a bit to help when we pull the arms and legs later.
OTHER EASY DRAWING GUIDES:
Draw four narrow rectangles for the upper and lower shoulders. Leave some space between the rectangles.
Add tiny circles at all corners of each rectangle. Also draw a slightly larger circle between the rectangles. These circles will help form the bones and will also be the joints of the skeleton.
Draw two small rectangles for the palms. Add slightly curved lines for the fingers.
Draw a series of small triangles down the spine.
Sketching the ribs can be a little tricky, but if you draw a V shape, connecting the hip and shoulders first will help. Draw six ribs on both sides of the spine. The ribs are curved upwards.
Erase any extra lines. When you remove the lines between the small circles and rectangles on the arms, they begin to look like bones.
Draw the thigh like a peanut and add two rectangles for each leg. The rectangles are not on the same line since we want our skeleton to be in motion.
Draw small circles for the leg joints as we did for the arms.
