Bachata is a beautiful and sensual dance that originated in the distant Dominican Republic. If you have not been to a bachata class at Magis Sport PLAZA yet, our video blog will help you master the basics of style and feel confident both in class and at parties!
Bachata is one of the most popular and vibrant Latin American dance styles.
Bachata is the smoothness of movements, flexibility and plasticity of bodies, tenderness and passion... Dance develops artistry, grace and flexibility, along with the beauty and harmony of the whole body. Basically, bachata is danced in pairs, but there is also a dance without a partner. It is this dance that we dance at the bachata group programs at the Magis Sport club.
The basic foundations of this style, knowing which you can improvise and learn choreography of medium complexity, we will analyze in this video blog.

BACHATA BASIC STEP: CHASSE
The basic step in bachata “right-left” is performed on slightly bent legs. The movement comes from the hips on the principle of a pendulum. We move gently and smoothly, to the right - to the left. Taking a basic step to the right, you substitute your left foot to your right foot. They stepped, swung their hips to the right and left.
This is the basic step that distinguishes bachata from other dance styles.
FORWARD-BACK STEP
When you step forward, your hips work in a figure-eight pattern. Take a step forward and take your hip back in a semicircle. When completing the forward movement, before starting to move back, the hip sways to the right or left, as in the main step. All movements are performed on soft, slightly bent legs.
BASIC RIGHT-LEFT HANDS
Perform the basic bachata step to the right and left one step at a time. The first four steps gently raise slightly bent arms up, the second four steps lower down "by yourself".
MAJOR TURN IN BACHAT
The basic turn in bachata is done as follows: take a step to the right with a turn around you, then return to the left with two chasses, that is, the main step.
WE ASSEMBLE A DANCE LINK BASED ON THE BASIC ELEMENTS
Now that you have mastered the four basic bachata moves, you can assemble them into a small dance ligament! Change the movement every eight counts: chassé (basic step) right and left, step back and forth, step right and left with arms raised, and two basic turns.
IMPROVISATION: FEEL THE RHYTHM OF THE DANCE!
Now, using the basic bachata movements, try to improvise. Turn on the music, relax and just enjoy the feeling of dancing to the beat of bachata! Add arm movements to the tempo, leg lifts, expand the space you use in the dance.
Take a few lessons on mastering this dance style and you will become the queen of any party!

How to start teaching bachata - Dance School "Bachata"
If you want to not only enjoy dancing, but also make good money at the same time, then teaching dance will be an excellent option.
Teaching dance is a special world that not only helps you to have fun, but also helps you grow professionally.
If you want to open your own dance school, teaching is the first step. All heads of dance studios are dancers. There are real examples of successful bachata business.
If you have never studied bachata before and want to attend teaching courses right away, then we have to disappoint you - this is impossible. Since in order to teach dances it is necessary to “see the world” from the point of view of the student and go through all the stages of training that the student went through.
In order to solve this problem, you can, for example, study bachata with us or in any other dance school, and then enroll in teaching courses.
At the moment we have the following teaching courses in Moscow, which you can take both individually and in groups. Discounts are provided in the group training option (up to 60%). Upon completion, two company certificates (in Russian and English) Bachata.

For clients from the regions (if for some reason you cannot come to Moscow), then we have a special online course for teachers
As far as I understand teaching is a practical skill, so how can How can you learn to teach by taking an online course?
On the online course, you will acquire practical skills, as you will perform exercises and tasks (including training) in your city. All other questions about the online course, as well as signing up for training, can be here.
Who teaches your courses?
At the time of writing, our courses are taught by experienced choreographers (more than 10 years of experience), winners of various competitions, psychologists - Alexei and Vladimir.
How is payment made?
Payment for the lesson consists of two stages - prepayment at the time of registration, the rest of the amount is paid after the first lesson. In the online course, payment occurs in stages.
How long are the courses?
From a few days to a couple of months.
Training takes place on an individual basis, so the duration is also calculated individually.
Is it possible to learn to dance bachata in another place, and take courses for choreographers at your place?
Yes, of course. But you will need to provide documents confirming your level of dancing. It can be photo-video materials, diplomas, medals.
What level is required to enter the courses?
Not below average. But for different schools, the “average” level means a different level of dancing. For admission to our courses, as a rule, we ask you to send a video clip with your staged dance.
I can't dance bachata, how can I become a bachata instructor?
First you need to learn how to dance and reach a certain level of dancing. The fastest way is private lessons and visiting bachata events.
If I graduate from your course, are you guaranteed to take me to teacher training courses?
We are guaranteed to take you to the courses if you meet a certain level of dance proficiency.
But let's be honest, many teachers who completed our courses started studying bachata with us!
What guarantees does your certificate provide?
The certificate indicates that you have completed a specific course of study. Further, it all depends on you. We gave you certain knowledge, and the employer decides to hire you as a choreographer or not.
Is it possible to get a job with you after receiving the certificate?
When there are vacancies, we consider our students first.
We have a group of people who want to get your certificate, but we are far from Moscow, can we pay for the teachers to visit us?
