In addition to our dance classes for couples or singles, we also specialize in private ballroom dance lessons and socials/parties. There are beginner classes every week on our calendar.
You can find a convenient class and get started very quickly. Private lessons are available as well that can help you begin dancing with one on one attention or can take experienced dancers to the next level. Most students who want to look good and feel good dancing elect at some point to take private lessons and see a drastic rate of learning vs group classes. In our experience, students that take private lessons are also much more likely to stick to dancing, meet their goals, and become great dancers.
Jersey Dance also offers several several chances each week to get out, socialize and put your new dancing to use including ballroom/latin socials, swing parties, and milongas. We hold formal events and offer performance opportunities including participating in showcases around NJ and giving back while performing at nursing homes and other places where we can share our gift. Our weekly parties and socials are within 10 minutes of Princeton, NJ and are quickly becoming the hottest dance events in New Jersey.

It's no secret that Russian girls have innate beauty and irresistible charm. You can't resist it, you can't refute it. With all these advantages, you can easily get a job as dancers in the night "gentlemen's clubs." And there you have to participate in a show where they dance topless.
There is another characteristic term for this kind of activity - "consummation". Translated into normal Russian, this means that dancers must get to know clients, offer them drinks in order to knock additional income out of the client for the institution. Therefore, mothers and relatives are not told about such work: it’s one thing to just dance on stage, and another to undress, and then entertain clients, spend a lot of time in direct contact with them.
Who guarantees that men will not allow themselves too much? Rather, on the contrary - the work is to allow the client "superfluous", although no one directly talks about it.
Let's meet Lena. She is 20 years old, she came on a work visa for the summer. Six nights a week, the girl dances in one of the clubs in New Jersey, like her friends. In the evening, a van arrives for them, which takes the girls to the club.
“Perhaps working in a dance club is the only way to earn a large amount in a short period of time. Sometimes we are reproached that we are looking for easy money and do not want to work at a “real” job: washing floors or dishes. But there are also many difficulties in our work. I don't want to make excuses for how I make money. Some people think that if I communicate with clients, they treat me (by the way, bartenders make cocktails without alcohol for dancers), then there is something immoral in this. This is not true. And all the talk that the client can "remove" any of the dancers is a rumor. By no means any. In every decent establishment, a dancer will be fired if they find out that she has agreed to provide certain services to a client.
I want to help my family, and if I have the opportunity to earn as much as possible at the club, then I do it,” Lena believes.
Another student, 19-year-old Vika, told her story:
“In the beginning, I didn't think anything bad about this job - I was even curious to try myself in it. I have been doing variety dancing since childhood, I am not afraid of the stage. So I asked for it - I met girls who have been coming to work in dance clubs for the second summer, and they gave me the phone number of their agency. Nobody explained the details beforehand. They only said that the output is one composition per hour, there are only 8 hours in a shift, during which you earn from 300 to 500 dollars.
On the spot, we were given "suits", made up and hairstyles - everything was as it should be. I will not describe my “suit” - I will only say that it was almost non-existent. I felt terribly uncomfortable. At some point, I noticed that many girls drink before going out. Not so much - just a little bit to relax, to be more relaxed on stage and in communication.
Since it was my first shift, I was allowed to not completely undress during the performance, as the rest of the girls did. Even then I realized that I would not return to the club the next evening - the second time I would not have been given such an indulgence.
The dance itself is far from the worst part of the job, although you probably understand what kind of audience there is - fat balding guys who, while drinking their whiskey, look at you with a look of “Well, show me, baby, what you can do!”. After the dance, you have to walk around the hall, sit down to the clients, talk to them and at the same time “breed” them in every possible way for money - for tips and for the next “drink”. In the end, your earnings depend entirely on how you will do it, communicating with those who disgust you.
I worked at the club for one night and realized quite clearly that this job was not for me. I can understand girls who urgently need money. But this is not always the case. Many people spend the money they earn on designer clothes, expensive accessories, save for an expensive car.
I'm not saying that buying designer clothes is bad. But I do not consider it so valuable to earn on it in this way. After all, in these clubs it is not about dancing, but about playing and flirting with customers.
There is another side to such work - dancers, in order to suppress the excitement and psychological barriers that interfere with communication with clients, often start drinking or even get addicted to drugs. I won’t say that all girls take drugs regularly, but I know some.”
In the profession of a club dancer, much depends on motivation: work in this area is considered worthy of understanding if there are “good reasons”, on the other hand, in the absence of these, in itself, this work can be regarded as selling one's body.
There are those who treat this profession as a completely ordinary matter.
“My friend and I work in go-go dance,” says Olya. - And I can not understand the sanctimonious attitude to this profession. All the stereotypes that girls bring from Russia only interfere with getting a normal job.
And then everyone complains about what a bad country America is and that there’s not even a chance to recoup the trip.”
Opinions vary. I'm curious, what is the opinion of the majority? I interviewed several dozen girls aged 18 to 22 who came to America on a J-1 visa. I asked all of them the same question: “How do you feel about working as a dancer in a nightclub?”, Inviting you to choose one of the proposed answers or give your own. Here's how the opinions were distributed:
The answer "It's okay" was chosen by 25 percent of the respondents.
• “This is acceptable in the presence of serious financial difficulties in the family,” say 29 percent.
• "This is unacceptable" - say 46 percent of girls.
My amateur "sociological researches" are not representative, but they give some idea.

I don't find this kind of work acceptable. In America, there really are a huge number of other vacancies. If you search well, you can always find a place where you will earn no worse.

I dance in a club and I don't think there is anything bad or criminal about it. If a girl is not windy and takes her work seriously, then she will never allow clients to do too much. It's not true that they can do anything. The maximum that the client can afford is to touch the dancer by the hips.

I don't believe the promises of the agencies that you don't even have to undress, that the client won't be allowed to touch you, but at the same time you will earn almost $1,000 a night. If this work really was so simple and profitable, then, probably, the agencies would not have to specially invite girls - there would be more than enough willing ones.

Maybe if I was in some difficult situation, I would think differently, but now I cannot agree with the opinion that this work is normal for a girl. This, of course, is a matter of education, but I think that such work is humiliating.
Judging by my little research, in general, Russian female students who came to America to work find it unacceptable for them to work in the field of entertainment for men.
