Best Barney/Robin Moment Showdown (Round 2): barneyrobin — LiveJournal

Your job in Round 2 is to choose which B/R moment is better between two options. There are 32 sets of two moments to vote on. The moments are paired up randomly.

I had to make a KEY b/c I couldn't fit all the necessary text into the poll. After you click the cut ("Vote!") below, you'll see what I mean.

Refer to the KEY to fill out the poll below.

Barney Stinson: Hello, Ted. If you're watching this tape - and I knew that you would - It means you have my porn collection, and that means either I am dead, or in a relationship. If I'm dead, I need you to take me to the Hamptons and recreate "Weekend at Bernie's". I want to dance. I want to have sex with a young woman. I want to go skiing. If, on the other hand, I'm in a relationship, then for the love of God... get me out of it!

Those who think this episode is good have a low I.Q.

I mean really. This season is so awful. The show is not the same since they brought Barney and Robin together. Which was a big mistake. It's like they've turned into different people, they're def not the same characters I used to love.

10 Little-Known Facts About How I Met Your Mother

Often, the behind-the-scenes life of the series is interesting to the audience no less than what is happening on the screen. We have collected 10 interesting facts about the comedy "How I Met Your Mother" so that you will definitely be aware of all the non-obvious nuances of the show.

    Fact 1

Initially, the role of Barney Stinson was offered to Jim Parsons, the actor himself spoke about this. We're more accustomed to seeing him as nerdy scientist Sheldon Cooper, but we have to admit that the suits fit Jim just as well as Neil Patrick Harris.

    Fact 2

The final and very long-awaited episode of the series gathered 12. 9 million people at the screens at the same time. It is not surprising that this series has the highest viewing rating among all other editions of "KYAVVM". But the second place is taken by the episode of the first season "The Pineapple Case" with 12.3 million people.

    Fact 3

The music videos of Canadian pop diva Robin Sparkles, under whose pseudonym Robin Scherbatsky performed, were some of the most time-consuming scenes in terms of the filming process. It took a whole day of shooting to create a 4-minute video. During this time, many decorations and outfits have changed. Actress Cobie Smulders had to dance for about 16 hours straight to reveal Robin's stellar past.

    Fact 4

Usually the creators of the series themselves turn to the star personality with an offer to play a small episodic role. But with Britney Spears, the opposite happened. She herself came to the producers of How I Met Your Mother with a desire to take part in the filming of the show.

    Fact 5

The series ended almost four years ago, but many viewers still can't accept that this mysterious mother and mistress of the yellow umbrella is Tracey McConnell, played by Christine Milioti. The show's creators really thought of the ending way back in 2006, but they also had a secret plan "B" in case of unforeseen circumstances. If "KYAVVM" had not been renewed after the second season, then Victoria, one of Ted Mosby's girls, would have become a mother.

    Fact 6

Most of the websites mentioned in the series are real. You can now check out the track record of Dr. Stinson, a medical expert in breast reduction, as well as open an account with Goliath National Bank and check out the menu at the Inside Out bar Ted and Barney opened.

    Fact 7

Initially, a romantic relationship between Barney and Robin was not planned. The creators decided to translate this idea into a story after seeing the "chemistry" between actors Neil Patrick Harris and Cobie Smulders.

    Fact 8

If you watch "How I Met Your Mother" without dubbing, you will notice that the voice of Ted the narrator is different from the voice of young Ted. The creators decided to use two different actors for this character: we constantly see Josh Radnor on the screen, but his voice-over, telling stories from his youth, belongs to stand-up comedian Bob Saget. This was done on purpose so that the audience would understand that the adult Ted is different from his younger version.

    Fact 9

It's no secret that after the completion of the project, the actors sometimes take the props from the shooting as a keepsake. So, for example, Cobie Smulders got Robin's denim jacket, Josh Radnor won back the iconic blue horn. And Neil Patrick Harris did not waste time on trifles: he has the same table and two sofas from the McLarens bar, where a group of friends constantly gathered, flaunts in his house. By the way, Neil also took the Bro Code.

    Fact 10

Filming of serials rarely go in chronological order. The last scene filmed by the How I Met Your Mother crew was the one where Ted meets his children's mother for the first time at Farhampton train station.
