Is the big day approaching? Are you wanting to do something really special for your first dance together but don't know where to begin? We can help!
If you are planning on getting married in the near future, we would suggest taking at least 3-4 lessons in preparation for your first dance, preferably prior to the crazy days that often lead up to weddings. This will give you time to really take in what you are learning and practice together in between lessons so you will feel really comfortable with the steps by wedding day. And if you need more lessons before then, you will have plenty of time left to schedule them.
You can schedule your wedding dance lessons just like any private lesson. Just give us a call any time. The only thing we will need prior to your arrival is a list of potential songs that you would like to dance to. The music you choose will determine what dance you will need to learn, and some songs may not be danceable. We will need to listen to your music before you arrive in order to plan your lessons. We would also recommend that you wear whatever shoes you will be dancing in at the wedding to your lessons to help you get used to their feel.
Finally, it is a good idea to make plans to come to our weekly parties. Not only will this help broaden your skills by experimenting with other dances, but it will give you an opportunity to practice what you learn in your lessons in front of other people, so you will feel more relaxed when you take the floor for your first dance.
If you have any questions or special considerations, please contact us and let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
