What Our Customers Are Saying
I am a Steinway and Sons artist, have sold millions of recordings and had over 30 White House performances. Requests were made at a White House party for some Stevie Wonder tunes so I immediately pulled out my iPad, summoned Musicnotes and bought sheet music for "Overjoyed" and "Ribbon in the Sky". Your company has made me look great in so many performances. Thank you for this fabulous gift musicnotes is to performers.
- David Osborne, Steinway Artist and "Pianist to the Presidents"
I sing some of the most current songs thanks to Musicnotes. I do not know how I would be able to find such great quality piano pieces and such an affordable price anywhere else. I love that I can find basically any song I want in your wide variety of music. I am also glad that you give a preview of the song so I can hear it before I buy it. This site is such a huge help to my performing abilities and is the ONLY site that I will buy sheet music from.
- Z. Schaffer, High School Student
As a piano bar performer I must try to play all requests. I need the sheet music now, today, while it is hot and can earn me tips. I don't have time to find it in a collection or something containing songs I already have, or to wait for the Post Office to deliver it to me. With Musicnotes I can order it, pay for it, and have it in minutes. I can use the song that night & make a better living.

About the song "Dancing Queen" | [May.![]() abbafan club |
One of ABBA's most famous songs, Dancing Queen, is one of the band's most amazing songs in terms of the different melodies it plays and the way they mix, making them almost inaudible to the ear, but their absence is clearly audible in all cover versions. Dancing Queen is also one of those songs that doesn't sound like guitar or piano at all, most evident in Benny Andersson's performance of this song on piano with amateur vocals in the video "Dancing Queen - LIVE with Benny Andersson". nine0015 When recording this song for the film Mamma Mia, where the musicians were former members of the ABBA band, including Benny Andersson himself, the song was mixed in such a way that what was not heard by the ear before was brought to the fore. Artistic description of song structure 1. The main instrumental theme with which the song begins, after the piano introduction. The melody itself is extremely simple, consists of four notes, but not a single performer managed to reproduce it one by one. 2. The phrase “You can dance, you can jive” If you listen to this fragment in an instrumental performance or with a filtered voice, it becomes clear why words played on two identical notes evoke the feeling of a melody tending to rise. The stringed instruments in the background do just that. This technique will be used later in the same verse during the performance of the words "having the time of your life". You can clearly hear it in the videos of Dancing Queen Instrumental and Dancing Queen [Mamma Mia The Movie] Instrumental. 3. The phrase "having the time of your life" ABBA's sound engineer Mikke Tretow on the video "The mixing of Dancing Queen" brought out this fragment in voice performance, without any instruments. Feeling that one melody is moving in different directions. It is played very well in the performance of this song by pianist Richard Clayderman, where in the first part of the song the voice theme is performed, as in the original, and in the second part the instrumental theme is brought to the fore, and the voice almost does not sound. Surprisingly, the feeling that something was removed from the song does not appear. nine0010 4. Musical break after the words "Friday night and the lights are low" Interesting in that it is also played simultaneously with the final chords of the "Hook" - the second piano part (AA, EE, DD) on DD chords. Most clearly heard in the Spanish version of the song after the words "Reina al fin toda juventud" (young and sweet, only seventeen). 5. Piano instrumental during the phrase "With a bit of rock music, everything is fine" Played on an E chord and almost duplicates the notes of the phrase "You're in the mood for a dance", but in a lower key . Richard Clayderman performed the most successful underlining of these fragments. nine0010 6. Break after the words "And when you get the chance" Most cover artists start this break very well, but at the words "You are the Dancing Queen" they either take it away or drown it out, so in the worst case this moment may sound outright false. 7. Final break during the sound of the main theme at the end of the melody. nine0010 Sounds throughout the song after playing the "Hook" - a sequence of chords (AA, EE, DD). In the original version of 76, it is completely lost against the background of other instruments and is more likely to be guessed.
