The craftswoman's straw dolls start to dance from blows on the table. You put a toy, you start knocking on the surface, and the chrysalis suddenly comes to life and starts spinning. According to Galina Shiripova, this is an old tradition. Previously, great-great-grandmothers of modern schoolchildren spent their free time like this. You can't buy a miracle toy in a store.

- Quite by chance I read somewhere that in ancient times, at folk festivals, games were played with straw dolls. The children competed to see whose doll could dance the longest or whose doll could run down the slide the most. And I had a desire to revive this tradition. I made more than a dozen dolls to make them dance, - the craftswoman told KP - Kuban.

Galina's dancing dolls live not only in different parts of the country. Russian toys were taken to Iran for permanent residence. Now six straw artists are drumming at the children's art school.

- The owner of this school, a talented musician who plays many musical instruments, wants to write his own music for them, so that these dolls accompany his classes for children, - the needlewoman shared.

Visitors to the famous Rahmi M. Koch Industrial Museum in Istanbul could see Kuban dolls.

Now the entire large collection of Galina Shiripova is in the Golden Straw Gallery, which she created. Anyone can come here, take a photo with the original exhibits, as well as attend a master class and create their own dancing doll.
