I consider myself a decent dancer

and TikTok dances be throwing me for a loop and a half.

It's like. Yeah.

[all laughing] It's a little much for me,

like it doesn't feel natural to do this, you know?

[upbeat music]

[speaking in Spanish] It's your girl Becky G

and welcome to Vogue's 24 Hours With Me.

I'm here in New York City.

We are at Overthrow Boxing Club

and we're starting off at the top of the--

[car horn honks]

It wouldn't be New York if there wasn't cars honking, so,

we're gonna throw some hands, so let's get started.

[smooth music]

[gloves thumping]

Obviously for what I do, I get to

travel to different cities, different countries sometimes,

but the one common thread throughout

is finding a gym, a studio of some sort

where I can do some fun physical activity.

Being here in New York, I had to come to Overthrow.

And as you guys can see, I went short nails.

I knew I was gonna get this workout in.

Long nails is not where it's at.

Not good. Mm-mm.

[gloves thumping]

Sometimes you just gotta put some gloves on,

you just gotta let it out.

[gloves thumping]

[light music] Boxing is

extremely therapeutic.

Moments where I would find myself really overwhelmed,

I would go to the gym, put some gloves on,

and throw some hands in it.

It keeps me present in my body which,

for someone who's struggled with anxiety

for a very long time, being in my body

was sometimes really hard for me

and I wouldn't feel that until I was on stage

or doing some kind of physical activity.

And yeah, boxing, it's pretty badass.

I feel like a badass when I box.

Knockout!

I am in New York City to be performing,

which is a huge deal, I'm so excited.

We've been at rehearsals for months,

just putting together this show.

Yeah, it's just wild when you think about

where you started versus where you are today.

We grow up in our, especially young adult years,

we call it these midlife crisis,

but it's not, it's us unlearning who we're not

to become who we've always truly been, deep down inside.

And I feel like this is the closest I've ever felt

to who I really am, who I truly am.

And being able to identify

what doesn't align with that anymore

and letting it go, there's grief in that, too,

so it's kind of this weird space to be in,

but it's also so beautiful because you're like

the little butterfly that's being birthed in the cocoon

and it's like I can fly.

[light music]

Try Extra Butter.

Oh my goodness.

[gasps] Wait, I have to take my shades off

to look at this beauty.

How cute.

[shoes squeaking]

Oh, like a glove.

These are a spoil yourself, treat yourself,

you are worth it kind of moment.

I would definitely say growing up Latina,

my culture, I think, has played a really big part in

my fashion, for sure.

A style icon for me is definitely my mom.

My mom in high school is a whole mood,

from her natural, curly hair that she would rock,

to her oversized jeans.

I love wearing oversized bottoms with a tighter top

or a oversized top with tighter bottoms.

Kind of balancing it out.

I'm a little chaparrita, so,

I have to be careful with what I wear,

'cause, if not, I can look like

I'm drowning in a lot of fabric,

which I've made the mistake of a couple times.

All right, let's do it. Let's do it.

You guys gotta turn away,

you can't look at my credit card, bye.

[cashier chuckles]

Okay, guys, we're done shopping.

We're gonna go and get ready for dinner,

so come along.

Today's a pretty packed day for me

but I have a dinner with my team.

Still haven't decided what I'm gonna wear.

But I haven't ate yet, so hopefully she fits.

[smooth music]

For me, it's important to build

that relationship with my team

so everyone understands just how appreciated

and how seen they are.

Not a lot of people recognize that

behind every great artist is an incredible force of people

who are making sure that every T is crossed

and every I is dotted.

And I take a lot of pride in that.

Hello. You look so good.

[car honking] Everyone else is on their

way, how romantic.

That's how many honks today?

We should count.

What is this?

And we're actually hungry, so we're like.

No, we're definitely actually gonna eat.

[all chuckling]

They're like-- How many drinks,

I was gonna say, how many drinks does everybody need

before we go salsa dancing?

Zero. Solid question.

A whole bottle. Zero.

17?

I don't need any, I could salsa dance sober.

I love salsa music.

But, see, I don't, I technically don't know

how to properly salsa dance.

Like I'm not like a salsa dance pro.

[Woman] Oh, she's gonna bust out all the moves.

No, literally. No!

I consider myself a decent dancer

and TikTok dances be throwing me for a loop and a half.

Yeah. It's like.

Yeah. [all laughing]

It's a little much for me, like it doesn't feel natural

to do this, you know?

Fake it 'til you make it.

You know what I mean?

Dance like I have one arm.

[all laughing] I'm like I have two left feet

and Becky's like, Just sprinkle the hair and toss

and like a little-- Little shoulder.

Little shoulder. Yeah, we'll just,

you know, we'll keep it simple tonight.

[smooth music]

All right, guys, we officially made it

to Gonzalez y Gonzalez.

We are gonna go inside and attempt a salsa class.

[Woman] So we're gonna dance salsa on two,

New York mambo, okay?

Right foot forward on one.

Feet together, right foot forward on one.

Now we take the left foot and we go back.

With the right foot we go back.

And with the left foot we go forward.

Forward, forward, back.

Good.

Forward, forward, back.

Back, back, forward.

Are we ready for music?

[crowd cheering]

[light salsa music]

Showing off my culture, my roots

was always a priority to me

and has always been so to this day.

I feel like, often, as minority youth,

we're constantly told that we can only be one thing

and that we gotta stay in these boxes

that society puts us in and

it just doesn't do justice what we have to offer.

When they say the sky's the limit,

we are no exception to that, you know?

We are limitless, so, it's exciting.

All right, Vogue familia.

It's getting crowded in here, so,

we're gonna let you guys go

and we're just gonna dance the night away.

For several weeks now, American singer Becky G has had important approaches with Colombia. First, she released 'Mamiii', a collaboration made with Karol G and which, according to her fans, is a hint for Anuel AA; later, she was present at the last edition of the Oscars, performing, together with Luis Fonsi, the song 'We don't talk about Bruno', which was presumed to be sung during the gala by Carolina Gaitan and Mauro Castillo.

Now, the urban artist surprised again with a 'nod' to the country, but not precisely singing alongside another Colombian, but dancing salsa to the rhythm of one of the most emblematic groups of the genre.

She was not in charge of sharing the video of the curious moment dancing salsa, but her boyfriend, soccer player Sebastian Lletget, who plays in the MLS and let it be known on his Instagram account that both he and his partner enjoy Niche's song 'Anamile'.

“Oh you didn't know we get down like that” wrote the New England Revolution flyer along with the 15-second clip that, in less than a day, has earned more than 140,000 views and nearly 1,160 comments from many friends of the couple admiring their talent for dancing to this genre.

For her part, Rebbeca Marie Gomez - the artist's first name - reposted the video in the stories section of her Instagram profile, showing her 31.4 million followers her taste for salsa and the Colombian group.

Recently, the singer of hits such as' Seniors', 'Ram pam pam', 'Mayors' and 'No Pajamas', generated all kinds of comments on other networks such as Twitter because of her surprising participation in the Oscars by singing 'No Talk About Bruno', which belongs to the soundtrack of the 'Best Animated Film' award, 'Encanto'.

To perform the iconic song from Disney's Colombian-inspired film, it was believed that only artists Carolina Gaitan and Mauro Castillo, who after the awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, referred to the interventions of both Becky G and Luis Fonsi, who after the awards ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, were cited for the gala.

The Vallecaucano mentioned, in dialogue with W Radio, that this corresponded to “an invitation to highlight the Latin (...) Latinos here are very happy because finally, for the industry, we have this tendency to be second-class citizens, I have to say”, also stating that Encanto's project has been so Colombian as an international.

In that talk, Castillo also pointed out that Lin-Manuel Miranda, director of the soundtrack of the animated film, being Puerto Rican, gave “a nod” to the Latino community with invitations to Fonsi and Becky G.

“As one poet says: 'we are all heroes in search of help' and given that we are providing opportunities from our work for all people who want to dream about this, and for Fonsi and Becky G too, regardless of whether they had never done a cha cha cha cha or whether or not they should be there,” said the actor remembered for his role in Wilson Manyoma in the soap opera 'El Joe: the legend.

Ling Mei lashed out at Becky G and Anitta: "The only one here who dances and sings reggaeton is me"

Vedetta claimed she had an affair with Manuel "El Loco" Valdez, but one of the children of the memorable actor refuted this information

Lin Mei is embroiled in controversy over her controversial remarks against two of the greats of reggeaton: Anitta and Becky G. Mexican Vedette mentioned that both artists copy their style to the extent that they believe that popular dance Envolver is a "copy" of his iconic hip moves on stage .

The actress, who starred at Cine de Ficheras , was interviewed for Venga la Alegría, where she talked about her next show, with which she intends to tour most of Mexico and the US. During the conversation, Ling Mei exploded against the female stars of the urban genre because she thinks: “ The only one here who dances and sings reggaeton is me .”

Acapulco native Guerrero hinted that she considers herself a pioneer of this musical genre and dance style, because since her debut in national cinema, she has impressed more than one with her amazing steps, which were characterized by their elasticity: they copy me, but it's not good for them ."

Anitta reacted to Erica Buenfil's TikTok

Regarding Anitta's popular dance, which is currently popular on social media, Ling Mei not only mentioned that it is an imitation of her style, but also strongly criticized the appearance of the young performer:

" Anitta has buttocks good water games , have you seen them? They look like gelati games. God, I'd be sorry... I've been doing this for years and she's barely leaving, poor thing."

In this context, actress Bellas de Noche showed off her figure and assured that she maintains many hard areas through constant exercise. Finally, he mentioned that he would like to collaborate with Grupo Firme , a band that has risen to prominence in recent years with their own covers and subsequent releases.

Mexican talents join this trend on social media

Despite the harsh criticism of the actress from Tivoli , many figures from the national media have joined the TikTok Challenge, which is to try to imitate Anitta's step in twerking . Among the artists who have tried it are Cristal Silva, Maria Leon and Erika Buenfil .

On the other hand, after Ling Mei confessed that she had a torrid affair with Manuel El Loco Valdes, one of her sons denied this information. It was in front of the cameras of Venga la Alegría that Marcos Valdés refuted Vedetta's testimony, commenting: "No, I can almost assure you that he didn't go with her. "

However, he recalled that on some occasions the actor from Salada de locos told him that acapulqueña sent him a somewhat risqué photo, but his interaction did not go beyond that. It is worth noting that the dancer plans to release a biographical book in which she will talk about her romantic encounters with figures from the middle, among which will be a comedian.
